Splitzilla is made by Gad Consulting, which is the data controller. If you have questions, write to michael@gadconsulting.dk.
What we store
- Your account: name and email. If you sign in with Apple, the email may be an anonymous address from Apple.
- Your trips: the trip's name, who's on it, the bills, the lines on them, who tapped what, and what has been paid.
- Receipts: the images and PDFs you upload.
We don't store any payment details, location or contacts, and there are no ads or tracking in the app.
Who can see it
Only the people on the same trip can see the trip's bills and receipts. This is enforced in the database, not just in the app.
Where it's stored
Data and receipts are stored with Supabase in the EU (Frankfurt), encrypted both in transit and at rest.
The first time you upload a receipt, the app asks for permission to send it for AI reading. You can withdraw your consent under Settings → Read receipts with AI and type in the lines yourself instead.
When a receipt is read, the image is sent to Anthropic (Claude), which reads the lines and translates them. Anthropic doesn't use the images to train models and only keeps them for the short time it takes to read them and to monitor for abuse.
How long
For as long as your account exists. If you delete receipts, bills or trips, they're gone right away.
Delete your account
In the app: Settings → Delete my account. Your account, your login and your profile are deleted, and if you signed in with Apple, access is revoked with Apple. Trips where you're the only member are deleted entirely, receipts included. Your name stays on the trips you were part of, so the accounts still add up for the others — write to us if you'd like it removed too.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and data portability under the GDPR, and you can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet). Write to us, and we'll help.
